LGD-4033, also known as Ligandrol, is a newly developed, orally consumed and non-steroidal, selective androgen receptor modulator that binds to the androgen receptors with high willingness and the ability to focus on them.

It was originally developed to reduce muscle loss, which increases dramatically in cancer patients due to radiation and chemotherapy. It was also used to combat the spread of muscle breakdown in acute and chronic patients.
In addition to these two applications, it is also used in the USA to curb age-related muscle loss.

SARM LGD raises expectations by producing the same therapeutic benefits as testosterone, only with improved safety and tolerability due to the tissue-selective mechanism of action and greater patient acceptance than conventional testosterone simply because it is not treated as an anabolic steroid but as a prohormone
